can t write workgroup shares

can't write to workgroup shares

Put Vista Beta 2 on one machine in a six-machine XP wired workgroup network. The other machines can see the machine and browse/read the folders and files on the shared drives. Just can't write to them. Thought this was a permissions issue, but "Everyone" has "Full Control" on the Vista drives. Suggestions welcome?

Turn off simple file sharing. Open an Explorer window, click Organize > Folder Options > View (tab) > uncheck "Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended)" > ok.

Thought this was a permissions issue, but the "Everyone" group has "Full Control" on the drives in question. Is there something different about the way Vista handles write permission on shared drives?
